way to go glad to here about your recovery, a simple post always gives me more hope and belief in human naturesmile

I'm happy for you for making it through 48 weeks and that your partner was there for you and now you can have the same meaning in life for him. Cheers. What goes around comes around and love can be a beautiful thing to share with others.

Thanks for your kind words. Reading through these forums while on 

treatment was also soothing to the mind.

Still getting used to my Dad passing from cancer this past June. What's making it worse

is that my Mom is 75 y.o. and cancer was just discovered in her left kidney and ovaries

which the Doctors will be removing next weekno

Geno 1b, IL28B CT,  x3 prior relapser,  ex-cirrhotic, 75 yo, did 48 weeks with Victrelis/Peg./Riba.  VL 1.28m at start, UNDET. at 8 ,12 ,16 ,24 ,30  and 48 weeks.  EOT 15 Feb 2013 , UNDET. at EOT + 28 weeks. SVR!  Still Undet. at EOT +5 years

Good evening everyonesmile

Haven't been to the forum in a while as I'm still dealing with my dads

passing from cancer 4 months ago.

It's been 6 months since I finished my '48' week treatment. I gotta say that

I'm feeling great. Most of the side effects have gone, still have trouble sleeping.

The Dr. called today with my blood work results. Most levels were up where they

belong except for:

RBC4.6 - 6.1 MIL/uL4.5
  

 

I have read through a few post tonite and I just want to say to those of you

who are dealing with side effects and questioning treatment:confuse

Please hang in there. I hope you have someone 'going through this' with

you. It helped me so much, especially when you are having one of those

days when you just want to 'crawl in a hole' and my 'mental' support at

home really helped me go onsmile  I wish everyone the best and success

in their battle

My house mate put off his Bariatric Surgery to support me through this

and it was difficult due to his obesity. Well this past Thursday he had the

surgery and that was the 'first day of the rest of his life'. And now I have

the strength and will to help him get on with his new journey in life.
