Hi Carol,

As Jill said, VERY annoying. Don't worry, you'll get the good news eventually. Liver enzymes would rise in a relapse, so relax. Cheers.

As my husband and I were awaiting his viral load test for his 3 month post treatment, we soon found out today that the blood lab put the wrong code and did an

HIV test instead!  I was so upset.  We had to drive to the blood lab and repeat the viral load test today.

So, I did call his primary doctor and asked her what his liver enzymes were, as he also did a CBC and CMP at the same time.  I figured that if the virus was back,

these liver enzymes would most likely be elevated.  She told us that these were all in normal range.  So is my thinking correct?  Would these enzymes most likely be high again

if the virus has returned?

Thanks,
Carol

Hi Carol, how annoying, but I don`t think you and your husband have anything to worry about.  Yes, the liver enzyme levels do give an indication of liver health, and the fact that they are now normal is excellent.  And taken with the fact that your hubby has responded to tx so well, and has been UND from week 4 is a very good indication of a successful outcome.

Try not to stress, it`ll be fine!  smile
