thank you all for your encouraging words & insight. i believe that this forum not only guided me through the hardest challenge in my life  but  kept things in check when i doubted my old dr. how fortunate we all are to have something like this!!!!

mallani-thanks for the tips about anemia & interferon.

matt-i wasn't even aware how important the 1mo eot und was.

zlikster-your turn real soon.

skipper/tig-you've been such asmile strong anchor during my journey!!! i convinced dr. to test me at monthly intervals due to the anemia and ferretin levels. can't wait to hear your results.

Hi Sandy,

Great news! Very impressed by the Hb. Don't start the blood-letting until you have your SVR. Check your BP with one of those monitors, but dizziness can be interferon-related, and should improve. Cheers.

Hey Sandy

That is great news and the most important EOT step on your way to SVR. Your odds of making it only go up from there.

Your LFT and Hemo looks like they might improve even more. I am happy for you, take a deep breath and relax you have earned it.

Cheers

matt

Hi Sandy,

YIPPEE SKIPPY!! That's fantastic news and I'm so glad you've shared it with us. It's so important to let everyone know the successes, along with the rough patches we all experience through tx and after. It's a real morale booster and I'm very happy for you. Your LFT's are great and the CBC is looking superb! Are you going to wait til EOT +12 for your next VL or is your Hepa going to do them every 4 weeks? I'm waiting til week 12 or later because I'll have to likely pay for it myself. I'm anxious to find out and in the meantime it's so nice to see others receive this wonderful news!

I doubt the dizziness would be from the low doses of Ambien, unless you're prone to side effects from it. If your blood pressure is too low, that would explain the dizziness, particularly when standing from a seated or lying position. Has your doc mentioned any reason for it? I was on two anti hypertensives before treatment and am now down to one. Something happened during treatment and my B/P started to drop too. Eliminating the second med ended that problem and my pressures are an excellent 116/70. I can live with those numbers quite happily!

I wish you continued good luck and am proud of your dedication to fitness. You're a great example for us all!

Best, Tig

yesterday nurse phoned w/ uplifting news of my und status 1 month eot!!!!! i have the warm fuzzy feeling and serenity until my next test......

best news is that my liver enzymes are almost perfect!!!!! ast/alt=36/41. mallani is so on the $$$$ saying they jump all about.

finally my white blood cells went up to 3.7 and my reds up to 4.75!!!!!

best yet my hemoglobin is at 11.1......this is my norm for i have the thalassemia anemia. my whole life my hemo has been in the 10 to 11 range on average. in 2 or 3 months my dr will be addressing this issue. i always have lived life in a vertigo phase, even as a child.

right now i'm staying focused, still working out rigorously w/ my normal routine & free weights, gained 3 lbssmile, went out sociallysmile and keeping the faith. also my leg circulation is clearing up splendilly!!!!! finally am in better shape physically post tx than pre due to using more free weights!!!!!

unfortunately i started getting dizzier since last thursdayno either it's due to the 2 ambiens i'm taking per week, not day , very low blood pressure or mild case of tinnitus.

wishing all und's in the near future.

sandy,ucbgal
