Hi Tig,

It's amusing what some guys do to get a paper to present at a Conference.

I've read some garbage articles but the Telaprevir vs Boceprevir one takes the cake.

We're looking at 17 patients who took Victrelis, with only 8 achieving SVR. The Rx length, fibrosis stage etc. are not mentioned.

Victrelis is the DAA of choice in Australia with SVR rates of 70-80%.

Geno 1b, IL28B CT,  x3 prior relapser,  ex-cirrhotic, 75 yo, did 48 weeks with Victrelis/Peg./Riba.  VL 1.28m at start, UNDET. at 8 ,12 ,16 ,24 ,30  and 48 weeks.  EOT 15 Feb 2013 , UNDET. at EOT + 28 weeks. SVR!  Still Undet. at EOT +5 years

Re-treatment with Sofosbuvir, Interferon effective in GT 2 or 3

 

Telaprevir (Incivek)  showed greater SVR, cost-effectiveness than Boceprevir (Victrelis) among HCV patients
