I'm with you, Micheal.  I'd like to meet the guy who invented Incivek.  First, I'd shake his hand for all the good he did.  Then, I'd smack him upside the head for all the bad he did.

But, I'm not bitter.   wink  So glad you SVR'd and I'll be following you on that path soon with a little luck.   Best regards.

Thanks everyone. I'm still leaning toward treatment as the cause of the A-fib. Never had a heart problem before and it came on to close to end of treatment. Just glad it's over with and that It worked. Heard new treatments coming down the pipe that will be easier on the body and less side effects. I also noticed that I'm seeing more info on Hep C now, television and radio ads. Seems to be more main stream now. 

 

Anyways, i'll be around, lurking here and there, throwing in my 2 cents. I found this forum very helpful and supportive when things were rough.

Geno 1b, IL28B CT,  x3 prior relapser,  ex-cirrhotic, 75 yo, did 48 weeks with Victrelis/Peg./Riba.  VL 1.28m at start, UNDET. at 8 ,12 ,16 ,24 ,30  and 48 weeks.  EOT 15 Feb 2013 , UNDET. at EOT + 28 weeks. SVR!  Still Undet. at EOT +5 years

Congrats Mike! Good to hear about your SVR. I hope your AFib experience is behind you and no additional cardio-version is in your future! That's a bit unnerving and a SFX I hadn't heard of before. I wish you continued SVR and the best of luck!

Hello Mike, good to hear from you again!

Sorry to hear about that and I`m glad that you`re feeling much better now!  Your heart problem may or may not have been tx related, and if it was then it would have been a very rare post tx complication, and it must have given you quite a scare whatever the reason was.   I remember you had a very rough time while going through your triple therapy treatment with incivek and had a lot of problems with low Hb levels, and you must be so relieved to have put all that behind you now.

I notice you`ve written in your signature line "Sustained undetectable" so was that from your 6 mth post treatment result?  Congrats, you did very well to get through it all!!

Keep moving forward and getting on with your life, post treatment is a good place to be!  smile

Nothing like a little DCCV to get the juices flowing again.  That must have been scary....it would be for me anyway.  Glad you are feeling better now.

Been a while. It's been about 6 months since I finished treatment. Feeling better, but in January I went into a-fib with RVR that I do contribute to the treatment. DCCV fixed that. Otherwise feeling good. One big thing I have noticed is that my upper right quad pains are no longer there. Just getting on with life. Hope everyone is doing well!
