Thanks. Yeah I don't think I have cirrhosis if the fibroscans are accurate. So, I'm assuming it's the meds, lack of sleep and other stress factors going on in our lives right now. I'm so grateful though so I can't complain.... :)

I would think it has a lot to do with how much damage has occured prior to tx as to how you will feel post tx.

If you don't have significant damage to your liver I would think you would start feeling some improvement rather soon, in my case I think after only 7 weeks post tx I'm probably not going to see real dramatic improvements, probably just subtle things over a longer period of time that will be offset by other issues that come with more severe liver damage.

I do know the more active I can be the better I feel.

We still really don't have a lot of data (as far as I know)on the long term sx of the off label use of these drugs so we can just hope that the good it has done is better than any bad that may happen as a result.

Also my days and nights get mixed up too so sleeping a regular schedule is out of the question, but I understand that is a result of cirrhosis and liver damage, and I've struggled with this long before treatment...I just told myself not to get angry and realized I'm just tired and short of giving up my job I just deal with it.

Thanks everyone. Yes, I feel "depressed" and it's probably from a lack of sleep as the meds suddenly stopped. Also, have a lot on my plate too and nobody but you guys (thank you so much!) who really understand any of this.

I guess I thought I'd feel beyond great right when I was complete but forgot everything is gradual.

Well, your body has been through some changes in the past 3 months, and it just needs some time to adjust to everything.  The mood changes could be the result of not getting enough sleep.  Also, it is only natural to feel some anxiety now, just as it was when you first started tx.  Just relax, take a nice walk every day if you can (even a short one) and eat well.  :)

By "last gasp" I meant the meds (NOT your body!).  Just meaning that the meds are moving out of your system.

Sorry for the confusion!

It is your body changing as the meds wear off,  I recommend trying warm milk or Valerian root if you can't have the lactose.

I don't know but it certainly makes sense.  I have heard of other folks have withdrawal reactions when they stop other medications.   I suspect your body is just ridding itself of the medications, and you are experiencing the 'last gasp' of the drugs in your system.  If it continues after 7 days or so, maybe contact your doctor.

Just wondering if a significant amount of people have had any irratic sleep issues and mood swings post tx. it's been a couple days post tx and I'm noticing symptoms I had when I first started tx -- like waking up often. not being able to fall back asleep. wondering if this could be a side effect of the meds leaving my body or maybe I'm just concerned about other issues.

Feels like the meds.
