well im smokin this ecig thing for a lttle over a month not any analogs and im on 10mg nicotine juice im gona try omg here soon......

the only negative thing ive really detected is on my last blood draw monday it says my glucose is up.... thats either do to higher sugar intake via food or due to the fact that the juice is made of propylene glycol and vegetable glcerin and i hear vegetable glycerin breaks down into carbon dioxide and water ... and says a very small amount into sugars......

http://ejuiceconnoisseur.com/2013/08/15/the-truth-about-vegetable-glycerine/

now as far as would it be bad on treatment... proably not as ive read people have svr while smoking however my gastro made me promise her to go to 0 mg nicotine if she can get me Harvoni so apparently she wants me to be on as few toxins as possible... but that is what it is... thats why im gona try the xero thing well before TX if i even get TX haha... i tend to bite people heads off without nicotine as i found out in the hospital over that pnuemothorax issue so will see or i can dillute 10mg and 0 and arrive at 5mgg... or lower so iLL play with it....

Gator Man = BOOYAH!! You tell em' buddy, lol! I was also a young smoker and continued until 1990 when my daughter was born and I didn't want to expose her to second hand smoke. I chewed off and on for years but that was just nasty and after spilling that cup in the house a few times I was told I'd be sleeping in the garage if I didn't quit! My wife won that argument easily. Now that it's behind me, it's a wonderful thing, but I must admit I loved it when I did it. The worst things in our life are often the hardest to get away from...

If you are a smoker, there is nothing worse than hearing the righteous opinion of an ex-smoker. Everyone knows it's a bad habit and they should quit. If it helps you get through treatment, I wouldn't worry about it until after you are done.  I've never seen anything that specifically contraindicated it during treatment.

Chewing tobacco still has its risks, primarily mouth, esophageal and pancreatic cancer, but not the pulmonary issues from smoke inhalation. When you get to SVR is a good time to do a physical assessment, sort of your body's State of the Union. As I posted before, it seems kind of pointless to beat HCV and look forward to a normal lifespan, then compromise it with heart disease, diabetes or cancer from poor habits. But you never know, when I step down from this soap box I could be hit by a bus!shoutbox.gif

First time I treated was in a study in 2004. Peg/inter. You had to be tobacco free to enter the study. I was smoke free for 2 years. Two hours after my first shot I grabbed a cig. But Im smoke free now.

I started smoking at 13 and continued for 12years.  Took a supreme effort but I stopped 31 years ago !!!

Damn glad I cut it out relatively early.

Hi rltan,

Of course it's not OK to use. Dreadful habit!

Having said that, I continued to smoke through my 48 weeks of Victrelis triple. Only 2-3 /day, they tasted foul and I felt dreadful, but it was my stupid little protest.

I've continued, up to 10/day. I actually stopped for 3 weeks during a recent bout of the 'flu. But I'm back puffing, and hating myself.

I've never read anything that says smoking decreases your chance of SVR.

We want SVR and a better quality of life. I've got both, but if I can get off nicotine I'll be even better. Good luck.
