Hi Josh,

Your numbers are fine. The AST and ALT levels are consistent with hepC infection.

Lymphocytes are always increased in a chronic viral infection, so don't worry about them.

Your platelets are a bit low, but this can be normal for some people.

Your Viral Load of 4.958M can be expressed as Log. 6.695, but this is old-fashioned.

Relax buddy, you'll get treatment but there's no rush. Cheers.

 Hi Josh, I wouldn`t be too concerned about any of those levels, and don`t forget that your viral load and other blood counts will fluctuate over time anyway.  Also don`t worry about getting your viral load as a log number, it`s a lot easier to understand when it`s expressed as the number of viral particles per ml, for example as in the numbers you`ve told us about here...4,958,318 and 5,330,000.

Hopefully you`ll have your Harvoni approved without too much difficulty, but as you rightly say, there are other new treatments coming along soon.

Hi Harvoninme, the numbers you`re looking at, at the bottom, show Josh`s viral load as 5,330,000.  The numbers on the right hand side give the `standard range`.  So ideally his viral load should be `0`.  That was on 6.3.14.

4,958,318 HCV viral load count

im not sure what the  hcv log count is though

i was told the number over the phone from a receptionist so im sure on monday my gastro will call with the log count

its was 5,330,000   in June... so it dropd slightly... im not on any TX right now but my gastro just applied for 8 week Harvoni for me...

 she says iLL be denied ... then you appeal then if they deny you a 2nd time you can go straight to Gillead and apply for support path but you must be denied 2wice before you do that..... so after all the back and forth im guessin by Febuary ILL have Harvoni or try for Abbie V... im sure iLL get 1 or the other..... she said theres is no Interferon anymore for any treatment so thats proably a good thing .....

lol the receptionist said my sodium was a little low to that I laughed and said i put salt on everything.... apparently i need more salt i guess haha
