Hello Mark

Welcome to the forum you have found a good place to gain insightful information from a wealth of experienced members. We are keen on following clinical trials.

If possible could you fill in your basic information (Gene type, viral load, etc) in your personal profile under the signature choice. It will be helpful to help answer any of your questions.

The trial you are on includes Gilead's new 2nd generation NS5A drug GS5816 that covers genotypes 1 through 6,  if pans out it will be a break through in HCV treatment.

Welcome Marktq1.  Good luck on the Astral trial.  I had great success with my Merck trial. I'm post trial almost 3 months and am undetable for the virus.  I too had HCV for about 40 years.  This is a great forum with lots of supportive and knowledgable people.

cirrhotic fibroscan 23 

am on astral 1 trial  sof andgs5816
