Hi and thank you for the pointers.  I have a day-by-day pill organizer, but will start setting an alarm, as well.  I take mine at 4 pm and would like to keep the antivirals flowing regularly...I would hate to miss a dose, as they are so effective and so expensive.

I am enjoying this forum immensely,

Jo

Hi Matt,

I have seen your posts all over the forum and thank you for taking the time to welcome me.  I have testing on 2/4 and judging from what I have read here, I may see some type of positive response to the Harvoni.  I will keep everyone in the loop and post the results.

If I forget to say it from time to time, I always wish for the best outcome for everyone, and hope for the day that a vaccine might be available for kids like my 7 yr. old grandson.

Take care of yourself,

Jo

Hi there and thank you for the encouragement.  Failing in 2011 was devastating, not to mention very inconvenient...

Salt levels dropped and so did I; literally.  My doc at the time (Yale, New Haven) refused to retry, but Gilead to the rescue.

Thank you again for your welcome.

Jo

Joann,
Welcome to the Harvoni club and enjoy the ride on the Harvoni train. Just take your pills everyday
at the same time. I take mine at 5pm daily and set an alarm on my cell phone. I mark an X on
a calendar so there is no mistake. I keep the pills in the original bottle with the litte desiccant dryer
still inside and away from any heat. No antiacids or anything with aluminum or magnesium.

Hi Joann, and welcome to a great forum with caring, compassionate, and knowledgeable folks. Glad to see you getting started on the Harvoni.  Great stuff.  Like you many here have failed or relapsed on previous tx.  We do understand at least some of what you're going through.  Hope and pray you find SVR!  in your future.  Enjoy the ride.  :)

Hi Jill,

Yes, it is very encouraging to see all of these positive posts.  I still don't know what happened with the previous treatment.  One day I was fine and the next I am passed out on the floor.

The Harvoni is just an amazing treatment.  Talk to you soon,

J

Hi Jo, welcome from me too!

Congrats on starting your Harvoni treatment!  You`ll be in good company here with people who understand how you feel, so make yourself at home.  Sorry to read in your bio about your previous failed treatment but I`m sure this time around with Harvoni will be completely different.  We`re seeing so many good results coming through, it`s the perfect time to treat!

Looking forward to hearing more from you, best of luck!

Thanks and I am very happy to find you too.  It makes all the difference to read these posts.

They want labs as soon as 3 weeks! This is hard to believe...after so long.

Hi Ro,

Thanks for the welcome.  I appreciate it so much.  No one really understands the issues as others with the problem.

I'll keep you posted.  What a great forum!

I got the fedex and took one immediately...pretty peach-colored quadrangle.  I arranged them in a pill organizer by day and now I wait.hmm

It all seems a bit anitclimactic and silly, but that first pill was a very emotional experience.  I am happy to be in the club!

All I feel today is a headache.  I'll take it!

Joann
