Hi Roger,

I'm glad to hear you're hanging in there!! You seem to be doing everything right, hydrating, some exercise and at least trying to sleep. I think (and hope) your problems with sleep with start to resolve on their own. It's not uncommon, so I wouldn't place a lot of concern on it right now. If you experience any real problems, it's always good to let your healthcare team know about it. But overall, it sounds like you're doing great and you're going to know soon what your first viral load is. We've seen a lot of undetected results at 4 weeks, but if not, it's always a multi log reduction that shows these good drugs are doing their thing!! I'm sure you can count on some good news. Keep up the good work and let us know your test results just as soon as you can. Good luck!

Hello! I sure like the support from you people! Thanks!!

I am doing very well on the Harvoni at this point. Still not sleeping great but well enough. I'm drinking a gallon of water a day. I'm getting some exercise. Not as much as I would like but some. I defiantly feel like I'm on medication. It will be interesting to see where my viral load is at in a month from now. Doc sent blood work results that I had just before starting treatment and said that the blood work looked really good except I had a high viral load. She said that's nothing to worry about. Enough about me. Time to see what's new on the forum......... Roger

Hi Roger, thanks for the update.

It`s understandable that you felt so anxious on the first day, apprehension about what the treatment will be like is very common.  That could have been the reason why you didn`t sleep well too.  You`ll soon get into a routine that suits you.

It's been awhile since we talked & I was wondering how you're doing on the Harvoni? How many weeks in treatment & what your blood tests were like? Can you feel it working? I hope you're feeling better with each new day! smile Brownie

Thanks all for the welcome!

So far so good. I changed the time I take the pill, I didn't sleep well the first night taking it at 8 PM now 5 PM. I'm eating well and drinking a gallon of water a day. The first day I had I would describe it as having an anxiety attack for a few minutes. Don't know why but it hasn't happened again. No headaches! I'm a little more tired than usual. I plan on going to the gym tomorrow if all goes well. I need a little exercise. Thanks for the support!.....Roger

Howdy neighbor. I am in WA, also, and am on week 8 of twelve weeks of Harvoni. Good info from your nurse on drinking water. Welcome aboard!

Thanks Beacon! The nurse told me to drink lots of water because it would lessen side effects. I am on a 12 week program. I turned down interferon a long time ago. This is the day I have been waiting for.

Roger,

Welcome aboard the Harvoni train. It's proving to be a smooth ride. Harvoni is showing itself to be

as powerful in the "real world" as it was in clinicals so expect little to no side effects. In fact it's

better to just expect "no" side effects. But do expect to be Undetected at your 4 week viral load

check. So kick back and enjoy the ride.

GT 1a, was tx naïve, cirrhotic(Fibrosure), 64 y.o. Started Harvoni 12/12/14 for 12 wks. EOT weeks 4, 13, and 24 HCV not detected! HVC not detected EOT plus one year.

A smooth sea doesn't make for a skillful sailor.

Hello. My first day on the forum and taking my first Harvoni tablet tonight at 8 PM Pacific time. From Wa. State. I have medicare with Kaiser Permanente. I'm looking forward to being "cured" from hep C. I'm in stage 3. I have been waiting for this day for a long time. I'm glad it is finally here.
