Feeling Normal after Harvoni?

Hello,
I am reading about some of you not sleeping well and thought I would add my two cents worth.

I was diagnosed in 2012 with the virus. When I checked into treatment the doctors wanted me to take a sleep study. The study diagnosed me with sleep apnea. I was put on a C PAP machine. It took a while to get use to but I did and I started sleeping much better. Before I started Harvoni I slept all night without waking and now with all the water I am drinking I have to get up 2 or 3 times a night but I am right back to sleep. My wife really likes the benefits of not hearing me snore. My body isn't moving around all night trying to get me to breathe. Before Harvoni I was getting up around 7 AM but now I sleep until around 10 AM. I''m usually in bed around 11 PM. But even with all the sleep I still have brain fog and still fatigued (tired). If you aren't sleeping well you might want to have a sleep study done. Just my two cents worth .....Roger

PS I still have three weeks of treatment left to do.....

Thank you for the info.  I can not wait to wake up feeling well rested.  I feel tired most of the time but push myself to get out and eexercise and I'm still managing to get a full round of golf in 3 days a week.  It's tough but I know the end of treatment will be here soon. I'll be done on May 17th.  Hoping by the beginning of June I will have my energy back.

Thanks for your answers. Hoping to read more posts about this. I just started my 5th week. Sacrificing 12 weeks is a no brainier however while dealing with side effects it gets a bit frustrating. For those who say the side effects are not too bad...I have had some really yucky days. I continue to work out, power walking & golf but oh so difficult to do. Perseverance is what I strive for daily and of course.... Knowing I will be cured in a few more weeks makes it all worth it!!!

I am about 7 weeks post treatment from the 8 week plan.  I had a rough patch "coming off it" even though I was only on it two months.  I had hearburn beyond anything I ever had before.  I would say after about week 5 that has settled down.  And my achy breaky joint and muscle pain is much better now.  I miss the wonderful restful sleep I had on it!  Insomnia is back this past week.  Oh well.... if I am undetected it is all worth it.  Won't know till end of April. Just hang in there, it does get better.

Great question!  We're learning as we go.  It's been 4 weeks since I finished the 12 week course.  I still have some notable aches and pains which may or may not be related to treatment, but it has been a couple of weeks since I woke up with what feels like a massive hangover :)  Energy levels seem to be increasing by the day, much better than before treatment.  I've got some tinnitus that comes and goes, and I don't know if that's related to the treatment.

4 wks after EOT, VL = UND; normal AST/ALT at 4, 8 and 14 weeks after EOT.  15 weeks after EOT = Undetectable!

Hi Jilzyk10     Your guess is as good as mine . I felt better while on the Harvoni . The lab messed up my chem profile by processing it late. My liver enzymes are ok , but my eletrolytes are all elevateed . So Im wondering if I feel worse because the lytes are elevated for real or because I have Harvoni withdrawl ; LOL . They didnt process my Afp until yesterday, meaning the sample was 2 weeks old. I havent gotten results yet .  I never heard of testing samples that old. Looks like I will be going back for fresh blood draws. Hope you feel better soon.     Michaele

How long does it take before the fatigue , headaches and other symptoms disappear after the Harvoni 12 week treatment plan?
