Your doctor really has no right to tell you that you can not test now. If you want to test insist on it and test unless he/she is paying for it

Hey Steelfire

Fantastic news and a very very happy day to you and your family Sal.

This is not going to change, the SVR percentage is super high at this point to be a permanent.

Tig I tried that yesterday.  My primary sent me back a message that she doesn't want to step on the Liver Doctor's toes.   Suggested I wait for my appointment to see him in two weeks.  That was the soonest I could get in.  I am basically wasting my 60 dollar co pay to see him.  He doesn't believe anything is treatment related except fatigue and headaches.  Whatever that brochure says is all that he will discuss.  He sends me back to my primary for anything else.  LOL She told me she knows nothing about Harvoni, Hep C or related sides.  That is why she referred me out to him.  You guys are stuck with me here!  They tell me don't read the forums.  And I explained its only because of the forums that I know I am not crazy and I have real issues from the treatment.  I will continue to muddle through......

Hey Sal,

Most excellent news buddy! On to the finish line....WOOT!

4L,

Your doctor is an uncaring son of a gun! I'd use a little harsher language, but you get my drift. There's no good reason in my opinion to keep a patient hanging like that when they request the test. Very inconsiderate. Do you have a GP that might do it for you? They can request authorization from your insurance provider. If they approve it, there shouldn't be any hesitation to perform the test. I'm sure you're undetectable but knowing that is a big morale booster. Hang in there!

Congrats to you!  Such great news.  I asked just yesterday to test me now.... anxious waiting to know.  My doctor refused.  Said I have to wait till end of April for my 12 week EOT test.  I don't feel like I cleared it.  So I wanted to know already and get it over with!  You give me hope.  Since I only did 8 weeks, I have concerns.

No harm at all. Actually, I think it does good to not have to stress with the wondering of is it or isn't it. I checked my VL at eot 3 weeks and am going again tomorrow at eot 11 weeks. biggrin

Hi Steelfire,

Your chances of SVR are excellent and have never been better. I have little doubt you'll pass with flying colors. Let us know when you get the news. Good luck!

I finished Harvoni  6 weeks ago Decided to do a 6 week blood . I cleared and failed Triple therapy a few years back so I am a bit on edge. Should get results tomorrow . If it only puts my mind at ease I suppose there is no harm in doing it now and again 6 weeks from now . Good luck to all of us
