You are correct Mallani.

By the way I did do a round of interferon with BMS-790052 which is a NS-5A inhibitor

Rudy,

It's not necessary to repost the same thing in multiple threads. Everyone can see the original. Thank you for your understanding. I answered your question in the previous thread.

Hi John,

You'll worry yourself sick looking at relapse rates. Relax mate, you'll be fine.

Your problem has always been Interferon. You are obviously not Interferon sensitive.

Matt makes the good point that the 71% relapse rate pertains to those who had previously relapsed after 8 or 12 weeks of Harvoni. We all agree that the best treatment for cirrhotics is 24 weeks of Harvoni- whether to add Riba is up to the doctor, but it doesn't seem to make much difference.

As you had not had an NS-5A inhibitor before, RAV's at this site will not be a problem, even though some baseline RAV's may exist naturally.

Your SVR chances are well over 90% so just stop reading. Cheers.

great read.

I have had 6 treatments (all interferon based) and one solvaldi treatment and a study way back with bms900 which is similar yo ledsprivar.

I have never been tested for any RAV'S... can you believe it.

My viral was undetected at week 3 and my alt ast is normal for the first time since 91 so we will see.

Hello John

Congrats on completing your 24 weeks of Harvoni, I am 6 weeks behind you.

The SVR rate you alluded to was for patients that used the protocol of "Sofosbuvir & Ledipavir" (Harvoni) before. In other words the key factor being RAV's that developed at the NS5A site that Ledipasvir did not handle well enough. With your last treatment being only Sovaldi (Sofosbuvir) your not included in that lower SVR percentage that you mentioned.

Like you I also added Ribavirin to my treatment with 24 weeks of Harvoni to give the extra benefit to help control the NS5A RAV's issue and increase the SVR percentage by an couple of percentage points. I would estimate that your SVR chances in the higher 90% range IMO.

The key factor on any treatment protocol when a patient relapses is, was it caused from RAV's and what site (NS5A etc.) and address. The study show the patients that had 1 or more baseline RAV's had the lowest SVR rates, so it can be important to know if and what RAV's you may have developed after EOT for future treatment options.

BTW John did you happen to know what your baseline RAV's were?

John, do you have a link for this?  Guess we'll find out in a few weeks.  Almost all relapses come by the 4 week eot labs.  Good luck, hoping this works for all of us finishing tx.
