Hi SusiQ, that really is excellent news and I`m very pleased for you!  Sounds like you have a lot to be thankful for, and many happy times ahead.  How wonderful to be a great-grandmother, I`m still waiting (and hoping!) for grandchildren to appear!

Thanks so much for sharing your Merck journey with us, and I hope that in time many others will be following in your footsteps.

Wishing you all the very best, enjoy every moment of your Hep C free life!  smile

Thanks all.  I am pretty happy with the news.

Yup, Mallani, my clinical coordinator said that the FibroTest is not as accurate as she would like, but Merck requested and paid for it for their records so it was sort of out of our hands. FibroScan would have been better and more accurate.  Finally got my tests completed on my pancreas, colon and esophagus and an MRI with contrast by my doctor, but don't have results on those yet.  Probably next week. Five small polyps and one a little larger.  Hoping they are all benign. Been 8 years since my last tests.

Matt, not sure I want to be 100, but if my health holds up I don't mind.  My two great-grandsons just graduated high school this year.  One was class president and captain of football team and the other is winning medals in motocross.  My other son held world's record for double triathlon for about seven years. I am such a couch potato I can't imagine where these boys came from. Probably only one of a few great-grandmothers who is clearing Hep C.  So glad it isn't highly contagious.

With the many new drugs, I am sure we are all on our way to SVR.  I do feel so very fortunate to have cleared and had so few side effects from the disease and the treatment.  Maybe because my wild early years stopped almost 50 years ago. And, of course, the accurate information and wonderful support from this forum and the people on it has kept me focused in a positive direction. That truly helps A LOT.  Thanks to all of you. An extra thanks to the moderators who keep this forum so upbeat !!!  You're great.

Hi suziq,

Congrats on your 1 year SVR and great to see the FibroTest come down (even though I don't like the test).

Enjoy life. Cheers.

I got results from my one year SVR tests this afternoon.  My enzymes were 18 and 24.  My Fibrotest was .62 which is between Stage 2 and Stage 3.  I started my trial with cirrhosis--I think around .75.  Soooo my liver IS healing.  It has been 21 months since my first UND, so I have almost two years since Hep C was assaulting my liver.  Merck is still not FDA approved--maybe late this summer.  AbbVie is coming out with more new drugs soon.

Hi to ALL and hope everyone is doing fine

SuziQ
