Hi Cap,

Welcome to our group! Sounds to me like the Ribavirin error didn't impact the outcome. If you made it to the end of treatment and remained undetected, I think you should be fine. If I read your post right, you're about 4 weeks after the end of treatment. When do you have your next viral load test scheduled? That's going to give you a good idea of the final outcome. So far it's looking very promising. You got lucky not having a reaction to the sun and Ribavirin though! Consider yourself lucky, lol! It really got me.

Keep us in the loop and good luck!

Hi Jeffrey, welcome!

If your viral load results have been showing undetectable then I don`t think you have anything to worry about.   You`ve taken the ribavirin for 2 out of the 3 months and it sounds like the treatment has been doing its job.  The success rates for this drug combo are very high, especially if this was your first treatment and you don`t have much liver damage.

You mentioned a post treatment result, how many weeks after the end of treatment was that?

Also, do you have any lab results you could give us, for example your latest ALT and AST levels?

Try not to worry, I expect it will all be fine.  smile

Hey guys. I finished 12 weeks of viekira pak + ribavarin about a month ago. There were barely any side affects. My voice was hoarse to the point people noticed. And I had diarrhea (not sure if that's even a side affect). I work on a fishing boat and the sun didn't affect me. I had a lab at 4 weeks and post treatment. Both came back hcv rna undetectedable! My issue is that I didn't see the ribavarin in the box the first month so I missed a whole month of ribavarin! Other than that I took everything as I was supposed to and didn't miss another dose of ribavarin. Does anyone know how this will affect my cure rates? The nurse practitioner told me it would drop my cure rates 10% maybe. Before treatment my viral lode was pretty low and my liver wasn't in bad shape.
