Hi Katrina!

I`m glad you went to see your doctor and got a prescription for the acne.  I`m sure it must be very irritating for you, let`s hope it clears up soon!  Great to hear you have the heartburn under control now.  Unfortunately Harvoni does seem to leave some lingering health issues for some people, but the main thing is that you have your prized SVR, and hopefully these other irritating problems will all clear up eventually.

I hope all`s going well for you in your post tx life, apart from that!  I`m glad you dropped by, good luck with the acne, do keep in touch and let us know how it goes!

Thank you, Tig! You are always so kind and helpful. I finally picked up a prescription for it today. I hope it helps. I just never had problems with acne in my entire life...I'll keep you posed. Thanks for the feedback.

Hi Katrina,

Nice to hear from you! I'm glad you got the stomach problems under control, but sad to hear about the acne. You're not alone, let me say that. It's mentioned by others and is one of the listed side effects from Harvoni. I think in time, as your system gets accustomed to being clear of the virus, you'll see improvements in that. We have had some mention a problem with real dry skin as well. Seems likely that it's one of those uncommon common (?) issues for some post treatment. I haven't heard from anyone about a specific resolution other than time, but since it's becoming really problematic for you, it might be a good idea to let your doctor know if you haven't already. My thought is discussing it with a Dermatologist, if you can get in to see one. These are such new treatments, I imagine that they are just now starting to get information on the different side effects from Harvoni. It's worth a try. I'll keep my eyes and ears open and will let you know if I find any useful information on it. Good luck!

I'm almost reaching a year since I began Harvoni Tx. I figured out my tummy problems but now I have out of control acne. Does anyone else have this? If so, what helps clear it away?
