My start date was Jan 20th 2016 so I'm a day behind ya (12wk Sof/Riba).

Nice to finally be approaching that final, wonderful news of SVR ... smile

See ya at the train station ...

Fibroscan I can get anytime no waiting but its better to wait at a minimum 3 months post treatment for improvement scores. As for the MRI or CATscan I get them done once a year and yes there is an MRI being booked as a follow up. Glad your treatment is going well also. ITs been a breeze for me. My head is not at right place at night time after a full day work and sleeping issues which both are pre-existing will hopefully correct themselves after a while. Anyone who would ask me about this treatment I would put them at ease it is by far the least impacting treatment I've ever taken. I think this is the golden treatment. Gilled will come out on top by end of year once more results are published... EASL conference also had some great numbers to show. Looking forward to SVR12 results. Cheers. M

I almost misunderstood this at first an freaked out. That would be 'prior relapser' - on Interferon / Ribavirin, correct? smile

All done!! Well done!! Congrats. Nice for you to be on the "other side" and finished. You had a spectacular ride. You killed it!

I agree with you, that this regime is going to be the next great thing, for many to come. TN or TE. I feel you and I and tkflex56 were very fortunate indeed to get Gileads new drugs. (tkflex did not get the gs-9857 arm)

I have been so pleased to hear, all along, how well your trail went for you, in every way, and, with no sides to speak of. I hope your pre-existing sleep problem will start to improve now and in the near future.

Your sof/vel/gs-9857 trial was nearly identical to mine, except of course mine is only 8 weeks (my last day is May 4). It also differed in that I was able to know and post my week 1, 2 and 4 VL's, where as you could only post your week 8 and 12 VL's. My only regret (for your trial) was that they could not allow all your VL's to be known. But we, along with you, were of course expecting a good response, just based soley on this regime's track record, on the nice early decreases seen in your ALT's/AST's, and based on your 6th sense of feeling "it was gone". Nice you were able to sense this.

You well deserve this cure after your prior disappointment (it should have worked the first time 'round!, but, you've done it now!). The follow-ups will put you more and more at ease with your new found health and life. Repeat fibroscans and MRI's will be reassuring. I am wondering something though ... your next fibroscan and MRI, were they a "standard expected part" of your "normal trial follow-up protocol", or, did you only get them because you specifically requested them and your doc agreed? Perhaps they are part of your trial - but I do not see any follow-up fibroscan, nor MRI, nor even a repeat abdominal ultrasound in my post-treatment follow-up (I never had an MRI). Just wondering if your fibroscan and MRI are "trial generated". If I find out that no more "trial generated" fibroscans or ultrasounds are due for me, then I will be asking for some future ones.

I have not heard of any other prior relapsers who have gone onto our regime as a re-treatment - I doubt there are many out there to find (as yet), if I do find anyone else, I will post here or PM you. You were lucky to find one other person! Now you can possibly compare notes, and follow one another. Perhaps you could ask this person if they would also like to share here too

I am very, very pleased for you and tkflex56 (as I am for myself), and I hope we all keep each other posted. smile C.

Way to go Michael. You've done a great job sticking with your treatment and it's paying off, but we're not done yet. I too have low platelets (74 currently) and we need to continue to take good care of our bodies so our platelets can continue to improve as our livers slowly regenerate.

All the researching can cease. Relapse no longer needs to be in our vocabulary. Be good to yourself and live your life. We'll be waiting for your arrival in SVRville in 12 weeks. Life is good! smile

Congratulations Michael! EOT is a great destination and SVR is a nice place to stay when you arrive in a few short months. I have every confidence that this has been successful, the rates of SVR are phenomenal with this protocol.

We'll be anxiously waiting on your next labs. If they're as good as your last, we'll all be thrilled! Good luck smile

Hi Michael, what wonderful news, congrats on your EOT undetected!!   w00t.gif

Your lab results look great, and how amazing to see how your liver enzymes, ALT and AST, have steadily dropped and your platelet levels have been gradually rising, you must be very happy indeed, and I`m very happy for you!

You`ve responded so well to this trial, and it`s looking very promising indeed for SVR12!

I`m glad your journey went so smoothly for you, let us know when you have your next results.  Best of luck!

(Ps - I`ve moved this thread from `New Members` Area` to `Post Treatment` for you)

Hi all,

A quick update from the Golden TGV Bullet Train that arrived at its final destination gate on April11. The service in first class has been tremendous. Feeling very good no side effects. I'm done. Undetected (see below). I'm interested 3 months post EOT but something inside tells me not this time. Its gone. I'm feeling great but hard to fall asleep thats my liver condition syndrome. Next 3-6 months will tell. Booked fibroscan a couple months down the road no use doing one now you see results after 3 months as far as improvements are concerned. Also going for an MRI in a couple of months. I'm trying to find others on this treatment or similar treatment who had relapse also. If you can point me to them that be great I think I found one...Cheers and thanks for your support you are a great bunch of people.
