Hello Danny,

Congrats on EOT! Glad to hear Tx went well.

You're right on track to SVR where you'll get your life back and out of the grasp of the Dragon.

Dave

Hi Danny,

congrats on finishing treatment. I agree with Tig that ups and downs post treatment are all part of the journey. Healing is slow work and the removal of that virus from the body must require some pretty hefty internal kicks as the fight between the goodies and the baddies plays out. I wouldn't worry about not having your EOT 12 test in the US. I'm sure that the labs in Bangkok will be able to work out whether the virus is present or not. I have my own tests done at two different testing entities and while they differ a bit the gist of it is still clearly there.

Take care,

Syd

Hi Danny,

Congrats on finishing! The highs and lows you're feeling post treatment is common. It will improve as time goes by. The treatment itself does seem to bring about some increased energy and well being, but that seems to wane a bit following EOT. I think that's because your body and metabolism are adjusting to the drug clearance. Your body just went through a battle and it takes time to recover. Continue to take care of yourself, don't push yourself too hard and keep up a good diet and hydration routine.

The correct testing guideline after EOT is the week 12 testing. A RNA Quantitative Viral Load is the correct test. I am not familiar with a PPR test. I can't find any information on it either. Check with your friend on that. The RNA tests today usually test down to 12 IU/ml. It's a good idea to have a CBC and Liver Panel drawn at the same time to see how everything else is too.

Best of luck to you!! Keep in touch and let us know when you get the good news! smile

Hey All,

I finished my 8 week treatment of Harvoni about 1 month ago. To be honest, the treatment was rather easy and alot of symptoms dissipated during that time. My energy increased greatly and my minor digestive orders like low level pain, bloating etc went away and the brain fog decreased quite a bit as well. But since i finished the treatment, a couple of symptoms came back. It feels like my energy was quite manic the first 2 weeks EOT with bouts of fatique followed by energy blasts. It seems to be balancing out now but i still do get fatigue mid-day as well. Also, the digestive discomfort has come back again. I guess i was doing so well during the treatment that i was not expecting any symptoms to come back again. Reading this Post Treatment thread I now see i was in a bit of denial. Anyhow, i am hopeful that i will be SVR when i test in 2 more months.

I was given treatment in the states but i live full time in Asia. I know that i should do all the testing throughout the treatment in 1 lab but i don't anticipate being in the states until the End of the Year and i don't want to wait that long to test to see if I am SVR. I will go to Bangkok to do the tests in August which will be 3 months EOT. From what i understand, 3 months after EOT when we get tested we are supposed to get a Viral Load test? My friend who lives in Bangkok says that his doctor gave him an PPR test instead because that can show values less then 15. Its the first time I heard of this, does anyone know anything else about this? I will ask my doctor back in the states what their normal protocol is but i wanted to throw this question out to the forum,

Kind Regards,

Danny
