Greetings,

Remedy = cure. Only a proper anti viral can be classed as a remedy. Harvoni is such an anti-viral and it works.

My wife was a 1b. She took Harvoni and now she is cured. Side effects were negligible.

Welcome!

JimmyK

Hi Maddy,

Welcome to the forum! I had to remove your link to the supplement website. We don't allow links to retail sites here on the forum. Please review our guidelines regarding that. We don't accept advertising or promotion of alternative treatments here. Supplements have some benefits, but they have no antiviral properties and reliance on them can spell disaster for Hep C patients using them to delay treatment. Some are worthless, be careful what you spend your money on and don't believe those that tell you they have cured HCV utilizing them.

I don't know where you heard these new drugs are psychotic! That's the farthest thing from the truth. They are the easiest treatments we have ever witnessed. I went through two courses of Interferon treatment and it didn't cause psychosis either. Wasn't pleasant, but I didn't experience mental illness as a result! If you need correct references and educational material, please review our homepage for discussions on many topics. If you have any specific questions, don't hesitate to ask. We have a good search function as well. Use a keyword or two and you'll find some information on your subect.

If you can be more specific on your own test results, including fibrosis stage, blood work, whatever you have, will help us provide better informed opinions and answers. Hope to hear from you soon. Good luck!

Aloha,

My name is Maddy and I am new here. I've been diagnosed with HepC in 2003 and have only been doing "natural" remedies, such as tinctures. (Edited) (dandelion, milk thistle, etc.)

I've been watching to see what works and what doesn't. I'm looking to get started with Harvoni, but have some questions. I'm wondering what the side effects are, are they really psychotic like interferon, etc.? I know everyone is different.

Looking forward to getting to know some of you and also learning more about different treatments/options. I believe my genotype is 1b, not certain.
