Hi Suzy, sorry to hear that treatment has not worked for you.  Your doc should still do paps and/or mammos and it might be an idea for you to see if you can find a dr who is more willing to listen to you, as these are important tests which should be available to you.  As well as your needs re. hep c needing to be acknowledged.

Thanks for dropping by, your attitude is really inspiring and i wish you all the best with your mum and grandaughter.  There are people here who would be happy to offer support, should you wish.

Hugs
Heather

Hi everyone, just wanted you all to know that I had treatment 3 times and still did not get rid of virus so my drs don't even do any testing such as paps or mammos or anything they just give me something to help me sleep at night and for all the bone pain. I have decreased vision and severe spinal osteoporosis all due to the disease so I'm told. So its just a wait and see what happens in the future. I'm trying to deal with the symtoms I had before I was ever diagnosed in the first place including raising my 14 yr old grandaughter and taking care of my 84 year old mom. But the sky is still beautiful and I live in a vacation state so I am appreciating all that instead of sulking. Always try and look at the cup as being half full and not half empty. Love to you all. Suzy

This small study was carried out in Australia to determine how people felt after their treatment.

The issues that people face post-tx have not been given much attention and there isn't much help or follow-up care available - a case of "bye bye, now get on with your life".

For anyone experiencing such problems, this report is quite an eye opener!
