Hello, Teri Many people have had to adjust their ribavirin dose because of hemoglobin and red cell issues. But it's because they are low, not high. At about 9, most folks start to feel real worn out and tired all the time. The doctor will sometimes cut the dose in half, or prescribe a drug called procrit to boost the bone marrow's ability to make red cells. Both techniques work great. In a couple weeks your doctor will put you back on ribavirin , reduced dose at first and gradually increasing as your body can take it. Right now you are at 7, so it's time to do something about it. Alan

I have just been advised to stop taking ribavarin ( but keep on Telaprevir and interferon shot.

Hemo count is 7.

Anyone else had to stop for this reason?

Thanks
