kiwi. genotype 1. started pegasus and riba on 10 nov. VL 17.6 million. (4 weeks VL 1368)  week 15 UNDETECTED... :)

Wow...you just put into words HOW I feel...  I am so tired of being sick and tired.. I think I need a tissue, this gives me great inpiration.. I am so happy for you... thanks for sharing.. I needed that.. all the best on your labs.

Thanks, this gives me drive to continue treatment, been getting rough. But end results sound promising..

58 yo..Relapsed in 99 and again in 2004. Started triple therapy with Victrelis July 22,2012.  genotype 1a. week 8,12,16,24 VL Undetectable..E.O.T -- 6-22-2013,,,EOT + 24., UND.

Just counted my weeks and...yep, passed 24 weeks last Friday. I'll have to check in with my nurse since my blood test was scheduled for October.

This is life for me after Hep C:

1) I don't wake up tired anymore. I don't drag my feet out of the house and simply put...I feel ready for the day and its challenges. This applies for naps and mornings. I may feel a bit dazed for a few minutes but that applies for everybody.

2) After a workout, I'll be sweaty and a little tired...but it's a "good" kind of tired. I don't feel like collapsing and playing dead for 3 hours. I feel like there is a residual spark in me, ready to take on more exercise if need be. 1 hour after a workout, I feel a warm cozy glow in my muscles, not a bone-tired tiredness.

3) I can sustain light physical activity (e.g. gardening) for more than 2 hours. Same time last year doing the same thing? My body kept protesting and protesting that it just didn't have anything to give. 

4) Mental state: at the beginning of treatment, I was suffering from depression - not sad, but just numbness & apathy at its worst. My core personality/drive/get-up-and-go had fled and I felt like a compass without a needle. Didn't even care that my needle had disappeared - I was a zombie stumbling from 1 day to the next. But 10 days after start of tx, I noticed an immediate improvement in my mood and outlook. 

Hep C had crept on me over the years and I had always discounted how I felt due to advancing age or work-related stress. I'm happy to report that it doesn't have to be that way and it feels good. It feels good to be..."normal".
