Dave, that is huge. Way to go. My draws are tomorrow, results in a week. This will be a long, nervous bunch of days. maybe it will be real busy at work with no time to think about it. Right now I am just worried about getting to sleep tonight. Probably be staring at the clock from 4AM on.

I also credit the mental strength gained from dealing with tx., I'm totally commited(driven, maybe obsessive) to get in as best of shape as God will grant me.

Dave, congrats on the 12 week post Rx undet!. What a good one to get. You and Alan are making me green with envy with all this physical activity. I don't know if my poor wasted muscles could cope.

I'm at the gym or doing cardio 5 days a week. I'm eating right and getting in good shape. Kind of funny. The mental discipline to stay on regimen and avoid crappy food was always challenging (as it is for many people). But now it feels like a cakewalk compared to Tx. I'm hoping to maintain this momentum in getting in shape. And my positive reinforcement today was my 12 weeks post UND! This was the one that had me worried and now happy. The unofficial official is done. One more to go. Looking forward to hearing the same news from you Alan. All the best, Dave

Went around the block again this morning:

It's a big block, almost 17 miles around

Getting ready for twelve weeks post treatment labs on Monday. Wish me luck. Need another UND for the war chest

Good to hear Allan,. I'm on a positive exercise program as well. Yoga, working out with bands, climbing, mountain biking and hiking are all again  part of my life style.  Balance after treatment is the key as I see it. I'm about 8 weeks post.

Hey Alan--you are truly amazing! I am so glad to hear you are doing so well. Would love to be riding with you. Haven't had much time for rides myself--but been taking lots of walks with the kids and the dogs. And working, working, working. Been getting out some to the community garden--we had Pesto Fest fund raiser and actually made about $3600 for the farm!! It was awesome. I am now 15 weeks post! It's getting better all the time!

Thanks Alan! Maybe I need a new puppy to help me endure tx for 48 weeks!
I think of Kiwi making it a lot!!!
I am week 22 and its sad I could be thru soon but not my case.
I am visiting my grandson for few days. He is 8 months old and
I was able to go on a stroll w he and my son. I cooked a great meal and made banana pudding too.
I had to rest from walking and climbing stairs in their home is tiring.
Look forward to these things passing, I just want to be cured of Hep C
And stay healthy to enjoy my husband and family.

That'd be me. Just getting prepared for the snowboarding season. Anybody that is having trouble staying active should rush out and get a 15-yr old to raise. Guaranteed to keep you moving. There are days when I'd put mine up for grabs, but most days he's a keeper.

im lookin forward to feelin better as well. gota try and get fit now. hahaha. this weekend, (first one without a shot) i was able to take my rubbish bins to the street, (only bout 100m but bit of a hill) BY MYSELF. with only one stop. that is a milestone, coz for a while there the 15 yo kid up the road used to take them up for me. i only took one. but i made it.

small steps. but happy steps.

i gota get my mongoose out and roadworthy again, take the pup for runs...

I just got back from a nice ride myself this morning.  I'm so grateful we can still enjoy it. I use butt cream. Makes everything slide around......lol.

My bowel movements have not gotten back to "normal" in my opinion.  They are a little softer than before tx and some foods go right through me. Also, I feel more fragile than before tx. A little muscle pull before tx has know become a major injury sometimes lasting weeks.  I hope this leaves soon as I love getting out side to workout. Also, my hair is thinner and I'm getting a big face.  I guess it's all worth it if we can be rid of this virus.

This sounds real good, kiwi. I can appreciate being able to do the uphill climb to the curb with the trash. That sort of thing was real hard when I was down in the dumps, but gradually they became easier. You are in for a long series of pleasant surprises. Most of the time now I feel better than I did before treatment began. It's like I actually got well a little bit. I guess we'll see. And by the way, we have a Mongoose urban style bike here. It is great. Makes for a nice ride around town.

I have attached a picture of the grandson and I after our ride this morning (only 9 miles today). He is 15, and I have raised him since he was 3 mos. old. His Mom came by right as we were pulling in from the road and shot the picture. Two fine looking specimens if I do say so myself.

As a matter of fact, the bike seat does aggravate the problem. But my padded shorts help a lot. It's just so much fun I kinda' put up with it.
