Hi Meghan; so glad to hear you are feeling so much better!  Hehehe, just last week I emailed my friends pictures of my new hair growth; it sticks up on top of my head like yours does.  I still have about 1/4 of my original hair, which is soft as cotton and does nothing but continue to fall out, although not as much.  But the new hairs are Funny!  They stand right up, on top of my head.   biggrin.gif

Geno 1a; VL 4.7 million in Feb 2012. Started PegIntron & Ribavirin 3-9-12. Added Victrelis 4-6-12. UND since Week 8. Stopped tx Wk 23. UND 4 Wks post-tx. Relapsed 12-weeks-post.

52 y/o F, started Epclusa 11-10-19, F0/F1.  EOT 2-1-2020. UND. All liver function tests normal.

So happy to hear that you are feeling better. The hair thing--mine is also a mess but getting better! It does not feel dry and straw-like as much but it does have a mind of its own. I too tamed mine with a pony tail lots of the time!

My hair is also a miserable mess. I am three months post treatment, and although it has stopped falling out, it is not growing back fast enough for me. It is not rough and straw-like any more, but it sticks up and completely ignores my instructions. I have to shampoo often, because my scalp gets itchy after a day or so. In the Too Much Information (TMI) Department, Cathy tells me I am turning into a gorilla, with longer and thicker fur everyplace but on my head. Life is cruel. But not quite as cruel as treatment. I feel so much better. Perhaps even better than before treatment.

Glad to hear you are still on the mend. I know you have a ways to go, but as long as you can see slow progress you'll be fine. You have a nice long Summer to enjoy as you recover. We are getting prepared for Winter here, and so far it looks like it is going to be a doozy. Adam made me get the snowboards and jackets, pants, helmets, etc. down from the attic. We have our passes for the coming season, so now we just wait for snow.

Good luck to all my recovering buddies. Nice to hear from all of you. Also, I can't help but say how sad I am for the ones of us who have had bad news during or after treatment. Thank God for the new medicines coming through testing now. I hope that very soon the Hep C treatment will be easier, faster, all pills no shots, with a much higher success rate.

good on ya mate. glad to hear it. im one month out from the 48 week slog. so slowly recovering. bit by bit. day by day.

Hey!  I am feeling great after treatment, have my energy back, gained some weight back (muscle), and my hair is growing back.  My husband teases me and calls it "crazy hair"...the hair growing back on the top of my head stands up and looks like a mohawk so I have been wearing it in a pony tail, half up, and have been wearing lots of headbands. :)  My next blood test is in December so I will keep you posted.

geno 1a, mother & brother also hep c +...mom got a blood transfusion and passed it along.  Started tx with incivik 11/23/11 and brother started 2/8/2012.  Both of us und. at 4,8,12 and me at 24.  I am going 36 wks and brother is going 48 weeks.
