Dec. 25 2012 after a seven hour marathon of opening presents (we always say we will not get as much this year, but as always and being blessed with my daughter, son, daughterlaw and 2 beautiful grandchildren the gifts never stopped) when the last present was opened I felt this was my time, as I explained to my family that I had one more gift for each of them and to please excuse the corny gift they were about to receive, knowing my personality being corny is a usual occurence, as they patiently waited for there final gift i went to the kitchen and placed glasses on a tray, I then opened a fine bottle of wine and poured a tasting in each glass, my daughterlaw walked in and asked if I would be joining in with the wine, naturally I responded you know I have not drank in 20 plus years, and we walked back inside together, my wife saw the wine and her eyes welled up with tears and I did everything I could not to break down. I assured her this gift was not what I thought she was thinking and seemed to calm her slightly. I then reach into our beautiful freshly cut Christmas tree and pulled out 4 envelopes with ribbon around them that I had placed inside of the tree the night before. I handed each a envelope and instructed all to open at the same time, I also handed each a glass of wine and no one realizing that for the first time in 20 plus years I also had a glass in my hand, as they pulled the ribbon off and opened the envelope and unfolded the paper, in their hands they realized there father, grandfather and husband was given the greatest gift of all and after 243 days or 8 months 2weeks and 5 days  post treatment my doctor called on Christmas Eve to tell me I was still undetected. At the moment they realized what their eyes were seeing all at once the tears came as we all embraced and cried like never before, my son who is 31 lifted his head as we were all still tightly embraced and looked in my eyes and said we needed no other gift today Dad than the gift you just gave us, this is the Greatest Christmas Of All 

My name is Daniel and it is possible some have seen me lurking on this forum, I have been a member since september 2011 and started tx October 28 2011, as 1 pres put it a day that will live in infamy!!!I apoligize to all but I was very comfortable just reading everyones experience and not since the beginning did I ever give input, I felt so many wonderful knowledgeable people were involved on this forum and gave me comfort staying in the background until now. I needed to speak up and let everyone know this tx is doable for most and yes not everyone will achieve the  desired results but many have and will continue to do so, To all the good people here I am amazed how a common thread has bonded so many from all parts of the world, there really is hope for all. to all that have and will in the future take this journey let no one tell you what you have attempted which is so overwhelming has not produced some of the most special people anyone will know, I know for fact life for me has gotten another look where my perspective has changed in so many ways.whether I suceeded or not life has changed and for me no doubt for the better. No one not doing tx including our loved ones can really know what tx is like, it is a experience you can not imagine unless your doing it, so with all my heart and soul I wish to THANK everyone on this site cause truly this is where my strenth came from. To those on tx let it be known your strenth, determination, courage and vision of a better future will come to pass
