Many congrats to you and your hubby, Caroline, very well done!   A 48 week stretch of tx is a challenge to say the least and takes a lot of commitment and perseverance to get to the end.  He`s been very lucky having you by his side all this time, and you`ve done an amazing job posting on the forum on his behalf.  You should both be very proud of such an achievement!  Time for some well deserved rest and recuperation now.

Let us know how his results go, we`re all hoping for the best possible outcome!  smile

Hi Caroline,

Congratz to you and hubby! It's a great achievement and you must be relieved. Time to relax, forget the alarms and heal. It takes a while, and at 4 months post I still have some joint stiffness. However, it's getting better.

The cold , changeable London weather doesn't help, and I'll be happy to get back to Brisbane. Cheers, and all the best for the VL's to come.

Hey guys,

Just wanted to share  that my husband took his last pills this afternoon and has finished his treatment.  Whew - what an absolute relief!  It felt like that finish line was so teasingly close these last few weeks and it's just so good that the meds are now done.  I immediately disabled all the alarms, mobile phones etc and we are looking forward to an 'alarm-free' evening after 11 months.

Thank you everyone for all of your support and listening during the 'venting moments'.  Along with the fact that this forum is such a wealth of information, it has been a fantastic resource to turn to during difficult times.  My husband also passes along his heartfelt thanks to everyone for their support.

Hubby will have his viral load blood test on Monday and then it will be the waiting game.  I know there have been quite a few people finishing around this time, so we will be waiting in good company and hopefully all of us will get the result we want.

Thanks again, Caroline
