Geno 1A, since 1981. SOT 1/2013   TX stopped 11/2013 in week 45/48 due to Myositis & Interstitial Lung Disease. Completed 94% of Peg-Inter dbl TX, UND since week 4.  SVR 4/2014!  Still SVR after 4+ yrs!

time for recovery i guess! Be careful with sun exposure (damn u Riba!). I learned that hard way...

58 yo..Relapsed in 99 and again in 2004. Started triple therapy with Victrelis July 22,2012.  genotype 1a. week 8,12,16,24 VL Undetectable..E.O.T -- 6-22-2013,,,EOT + 24., UND. 

SVR !!!

 geno 1, started peg and riba 7/5/13, now 29th day is vicrellis ***tonib VL started 6 million, after 5 weeks 374,000, after 8 weeks 150,000....the big test for VL is 9/27 at 12 weeks  TAKEN OFF THERAPY JUST NOT WORKING FOR ME...12 WEEKS STILL HAVE 9000 VL

Hello Bill

Your have finished the hard fight still standing and intact, that in itself is a great achievement with all your additional issues and is a testament to your will and character.

Like a long bike ride, its a whole lot more enjoyable gong down hill and you will slowly feel your energy come back. Keep up the good healthy habits that you have acquired (diet and exercise) they will lead the way into your future recovery for the rest of your life if you let them.

Hi Bill,

Congrats! What an ordeal. The drugs are the other way round- Riba can take up to 6 months to get out of your system. Rest up and let the healing begin! Best of luck for the VL tests to come. Don't expect to feel great straight away. It takes time. Just enjoy being off the poisons. Cheers mate.

Well I thjust waiting for some of the med side effects to go away, told Rib takes 3 weeks but Interferon can take up to 6 months.  I get blood work on viral load back in 2 weeks but have been UND  twice before.  Effects of virus seem to have lessened also, what a new lease on life, have seen how this virus effected me more over the last 5 years and things such as hearing sesitivity has gone, skin not burning up anymore and other things are working just fine only that could get me in trouble until i settle my marriage status.  Was easy to handle maybe a cop out but I just pray she has health happyness and peace of mind and ask my higher power to guide me to do only what is right and let him determine the outcome.  Again thanks to all of you for the support and just plain saving my life.

Fantastic, Bill, very well done!  You`ve shown so much strength and determination in the way you`ve stuck with it throughout your long and difficult treatment and I`m so glad you`ve finally come to the end!  This is your time to relax and recuperate now, and gradually get back on your feet.
