LOL Lindsay beat me to it! :)
First off; wanna say I am sorry I have been absent from the site for so long!!
I was estatic when the office called and woke us up in the morning and Janine from my docs office had the pleasure to tell me that "Your results were undetectable"
Me: "Wait, you mean it's GONE??? I no longer have Hep C???"
Janine: (Laugh) "Yes!! It's gone!!"
Me: "F-ING FANTASTIC!!!" (Laugh)
Janine: (Laughing) "Dr. T said to tell you Congratulations and that ya did it!"
----
a few years ago I seriously believed I would never hear those words....

Yeah, it was a rough road. Sometimes feels like it was yesterday, other times it feels like years ago. I was/am thankful that Renee respected by only wish when we got together. She had a bad experience with her initial liver specialist and hadn't been to one in over 10 years. I requested that she at least go find out what stage she was in or see if new treatments were available...which there were! It was hard sitting by, wanting so much for the pain to end during treatment. I used to feel guilty for waking Renee up to remind her to take her meds or when she was briefly on Incivik, to eat so much, knowing how sick she'd get. Thankfully, that's all in the past and it's likely she's free from the dragon forever! Best of luck to you Bob on your treatment journey. I won't lie and say it'll be easy, but the people here were SO supportive to us both. You all are so amazing and I'll never forget your support, even if I may not be on much anymore.

Much love!

Hi Lindsay,

What fantastic news! I'm delighted that you have let us know. Renee was fortunate to have you as she had some problems with this dreadful Rx. You guys have a lot to look forward to, so enjoy life. Cheers.

Renee finally made it back to her liver doc 10 months after her first post-tx appointment a couple of weeks ago. Our finances were really tight, and she had moved over 2 hours away from her doctor...otherwise we would have been there much sooner. The doctor's office called and all her levels are back to normal AND she is still undetectable!!!!! We had both been worried since she was pulled off the Incivik early and did have some compliance issues with the Ribavirin. Thankfully, she obviously took enough of the medicines to make it work :) At her last appointment the doctor felt confident she had cleared the Hep. I don't think the office used SVR yet...want one more test in a year. However, it feels great knowing that this far out so far, things are great.

We're still going strong as ever. I had a set back a month ago when I lost my job, so things have been stressful. Renee's now giving me the support that I helped give her during treatment. With that said, we're postponing the wedding...need money for that! After 14 years, Renee is finally back in school, and I couldn't be prouder. Hopefully I'll be back to work soon and Renee will do great in school. We're hoping in another year or so to try to start having children (obviously will depend on income too). Lots of good things on the horizon....

Thank you again to everyone who supported us on this journey!

What great news, how fantastic!  Many congratulations to Renee, she so deserves this after all the difficult times she went through on tx.  In fact you`ve both been through some rough times, but you`ve made it through with love and support for each other.

Thanks so much for the update, Lindsay.  Onwards and upwards, and I wish you all the very best for you future life together.  smile Jill xx

ps - Moving this thread to `Post Treatment` so it doesn`t get overlooked in the `Partners and Supporters ` section.
