Hey Angie

i totally agree with your declsion, being or having patience is part of the battle with HCV you ontly have to wait less than 6 months to see the new and less side effects drugs. They are definitely worth the wait, but highly expensive.

Great news. I don't blame you for waiting. 48 weeks is horrid. 12 sounds much better.

I finally got to see the specialist again. I was ready to start treatment in August but for some reason they were dragging their feet with it. I'm kind of glad they did because I want to see if sofosbuvir is going to make it's way to the public in a few months. The doctor said there is no reason why I can't wait a few months and that he has heard great things recently about the sofosbuvir combo treatment.  I feel good about this since it seems to be a more tolerable drug and I have a 3 and 9 year old to care for. If it doesn't make it out by my next appointment in January...then triple tx it is. I think he said the treatment duration is only 12 weeks! That sounds great to me. I think they would have me on triple for a year otherwise.  Fingers crossed that the FDA pushes this through soon. :)
