Just to welcome you and wish you a smooth ride through treatment, the new meds seem to be having great outcomes.

51 year old Geno type 1A,  possibly 30 years HCV. HBV detected but currently dormant. viral load over 1,000,000. Started triple with Telaprevir Nov 2013 for 48 weeks.

VL week 4 -179,

VL week 12 -50. 

VL WEEK 24 -UND

My husband had genotype 1a, 46yo, started triple therapy (peg/rib/vic) 23rd July 2012, VL prior to treatment 14 million, UNDET 12, 24 weeks, EOT 24th June 2013, EOT +1.5 weeks UNDET, EOT +12 weeks & EOT +27 weeks UNDET; SVR January 2014

Geno 1b, IL28B CT,  x3 prior relapser,  ex-cirrhotic, 75 yo, did 48 weeks with Victrelis/Peg./Riba.  VL 1.28m at start, UNDET. at 8 ,12 ,16 ,24 ,30  and 48 weeks.  EOT 15 Feb 2013 , UNDET. at EOT + 28 weeks. SVR!  Still Undet. at EOT +5 years

Hi Barnacle, years ago I commercial fished for grouper and snapper.  Primarily bottom fishing.  Have trolled Stretch 30's and Bombay fished as well for Grouper etc.  Made a few trips bottom longlining  Also spearfished. Started having kids and the rest is history.  My wife and I have been considering a Trawler if we can make it to retirement.  Gotta get thru this first......one day at a time and........ Thankful.

 Welcome and stay strong in the fight. 

Today was day 68 for me. Started 1/6/14.  Before you know it you will be there as well.

Results of the new tx have been amazing for everyone in the fight.

Looking forward to your reports of UND....

GT 1A:  VL: 4,695,000, started treatment 1/6/13 with off label Sovaldi/Olysio/Riba     No Interferon due to Sarcoid  in liver and lungs.  Recent biopsy shows Cirrhosis level 5/6.  EOT 3/30/14. SVR 8 on 5/30/14

Hiya Grouper..   Welcome aboard!  Lots of solid info and encouragement to be found here.  Sovaldi/Olysio I'm presuming, based on where you placed your other post.  Yes, the feedback thus far has been very positive.  Much hope floating in the air.  Any lab results, genotype,  etc. you care to share would be appreciated.  Any questions you have, ask away.

Howdy folks from Florida.  Hoping all with this nasty virus find SVR.  Lots of new meds happening and I'm fortunate to have just started.  Looking forward to learning and sharing info.
