What excellent news, Kristi, congratulations to you, you`ve done it!!!  biggrin

So pleased to hear your wonderful news, it takes a lot of determination and strength of will to get through 48 weeks of treatment and you should be very proud of what you`ve done!  Yes, it`s taken a year out of your life but you`ll have your health and a better life ahead of you, and I`m sure you`ll feel even better as time goes on and you continue to recover.

Thanks so much for sharing your good news, and what a great inspiration to others this is!!

Do keep in touch and enjoy every day of your hard earned new Hep C free life!!

Wow!!! Congratulations Kristi! You're going to really enjoy all the improvements to come and they will come. I know you're enjoying the freedom from all that medication and all the requirements that protocol demanded. It took me every bit of 6 months to clear those drugs, so you should be noticing the improvements already. This will be a special Christmas and New Year for you, enjoy them and your new Hep free life! That has to be one of the best gifts ever!!!

WOOT!!

Hi everyone!

Well,Good News! I'm 4 months post treatment now and undetected! Hep C Free!!! smile 48 wks was pretty rough. But, I knew it was only temporary, so that got me through. I didn't need any adjustments to my med's. My hemoglobin got to a low of 90, but I persevered, knowing it was almost over and that it was still working. My hair thinned out about 80%. But, it was all well worth it to get rid of the virus. Taking 1 year basically off from life adds many more healthy years ahead!smile I pretty well just did what I had to do and rested 80% of the time during my 48wks on treatment. Its only been almost 4 months, but I feel so much better and have alot more energy, than I remember in a long time, even before i began treatment. Its only been a few months, but being on tx already seems like a distant memory!

All I say to all newcomers is to hang in there, try to manage the side effects as they come, the best you can. And to everyone that have been non-responders is to hang in there too, as there are new and successful treatments coming available almost continuously. We can do it and beat this thing!!!

Also, I want to thank everyone for their continued support and words of wisdom and encouragement. I continue to visit the forum regularly and  stay posted and offer my experience, strength and hope to beat this virus!

I'm soooo happy to finally have rid this virus!!!!!!! I know I have 1 more test at 6 months and a another fibro scan Dec 28th. But, I'm thinking and feeling positive!!! smile

Will be in touch, Take Care Everyone! xo
