Hi 4L,

That was adequate, I'm sure! Ypu can make your own hard surface disinfectant by mixing 1 part household bleach with 10 parts water. I soaked personal care items like nail clippers, etc., in a container and put some in a spray bottle. It makes an excellent multi-purpose disinfectant and costs pennies to make. Just don't spray it on fabric!

I heeded that warning and changed my toothbrush and razor every couple weeks.  The nail clipper I sprayed down with Lysol and let it soak over night.  Hope that was enough!

I think there is a very slim possibility but it is a simple matter to replace your toothbrush or other items that may have had your blood on them before becoming undetected. Since the virus can only last up to six weeks on a surface it would be safe to use an exposed item after that amount of time. For example, I wear a sleep retainer and my gums bleed occasionally so I just switched to a different retainer that had not been used in a few months and now that I've been undetected for over six weeks I've returned to using the better retainer that had been exposed to my blood before that six weeks.

Hi Roger,

We have discussed this topic many times and it's one that while important to consider, is unlikely, providing simple precautions and understanding is taken. I don't believe that you have anything to worry about as far as your hearing aids are concerned. Routine cleaning and sanitation of them will eliminate the possibility. We all agreed that it's a good idea to replace your toothbrush once you start treatment. Some here replaced them several times, I changed mine after I was undetected. They recommend cleaning things like nail clippers in a 1:10 bleach solution. Razors should be replaced regularly anyway and never share any grooming items with anyone. Use our search function and you'll find lots of info. If you need more help, let me know.

Hello,

Is it possible to reinfect yourself with toothbrush, razor, hearing aids?

I wear hearing aids and I have some problems with my ears that make them bleed a tiny bit once in a while. After treatment would it be possible to reinfect myself wearing the hearing aids and with toothbrush?.....Roger
