congratulations!  I'm almost at the two year mark myself and feeling pretty good.  Still dealing with checkups and ultrasounds every 6 months, and I guess I will for the foreseeable future.  I've been really happy to see the face of HCV treatment change so drastically since I started my clinical trial in 2013.  So many SVR's and so many more to come.

And so there is hope for all of us. I love seeing people post their SVR's over time. Thanks Malcolm.

I also think part of my "stuff" is due to being older.

Regardless, I'm grateful you're doing well and think you've contributed so much to my education in this world. Where else would I have ever hear of RAV's. Take care.

Hey Brother

2 years WOW! Time does fly by, as we look back at the forum and the reasons why it has worked well for its members we have to give a big credit to Malcolm for his contributions to threads, answering questions and giving insights on HCV topics and much much more and personal response to PM's.

There is another impact that has effect on a members attitude and outlook, and that is HOPE. Just as a reminder Malcolm was a 3 time relapsed patient and still persevered and attained SVR.  His own positive attitude / spirit toward living is a great example for all of us to emulate rather than wallow in self pity. A balanced positive point of view toward ones self is a great medicine we can benefit greatly from it.

Thanks for showing a surpassing way, I'm sure it would be fun and entertaining to play 18 holes of golf plus the 19th in the club house with you.

Malcolm,

Your contributions to this forum have been invaluable and have helped hundreds slog through everything in relation to HepC. The active lifestyle you now enjoy and share post Tx gives inspiration that there are good things in store if we have even a fraction of your great attitude and zeal for life!

To borrow the words of someone we know, "good luck mate. Cheers!"

That is fantastic, Malcolm, and many congrats on your 2 year anniversary of finishing treatment!

You certainly travelled a very rocky road to achieve your SVR but your determination and perseverance eventually paid off and it`s wonderful that you`re now enjoying life free from Hep C!  You`ve helped so many people here on the forum over the time you`ve been a member here and your input has been extremely valuable for us all, and continues to be so whenever you post.

Wishing you all the happiness in the world, you`ve worked for it and you certainly deserve it!

Thanks so much for being here... Jill

Hey Malcolm,

Congratulations on the milestone mate! It is hard to believe there is so much water under that bridge. I'm pleased to hear that any residual effects are gone and hopefully everything left will be the joys of life! I must also salute you for your continuing care and consideration toward the cause. You are a seemingly tireless warrior against the disease and your help here on the forum continues to be priceless. Thank you and I wish you continued good fortune and smooth seas...

Hi guys,

It's hard to believe but it's 2 years since I finished my 48 weeks of the Victrelis triple. I really don't think I have any residual effects from the drugs and it's hard to know if I have any long-term HepC problems.

At my age, it's hard to know what's normal-for-age. My contempories (who have not had HepC) all have various medical problems and seem to have more aches and pains than I do. I have some mild peripheral neuropathy with numbness in the feet and get stiff after playing golf in our hot, humid conditions. Drinking a bottle of tonic water (containing quinine) after golf, stops any muscular cramps. All up, I am lucky to have escaped relatively unscathed. I'm sure I am still cirrhotic but hopefully that will continue to resolve.

I don't post much anymore, but it's great to see the Harvoni (and others) doing so well with minimal side effects. Cheers.
