Hello William,

The diet dilemma is ongoing for many of us. Seems that it's determined more by what works versus what you desire. At least that's been the case for me. I believe that during treatment and certainly right after EOT, your system goes through some dramatic changes in many cases. That's going to determine a lot of what you can tolerate. As you're already doing, small meals and finding what works seems to be the best way to approach it. I had gastric and intestinal issues during and post treatment too. I began a regimen of Aloe Vera juice and it has made a world of difference for me. I've noticed remarkable changes in my skin and digestion. It may not be for everybody, but it has helped me past some of those hurdles.

The Ribavirin takes every bit of 6 months to clear your system. It's a slow process and as you progress, you'll notice (as you are) things like your skin begin to improve, attitude improves and the sun sensitivity diminishes. I had problems for a full year after EOT, but they have improved remarkably and you will too. It just takes time...

I wish you continued luck and improvement. I hope you stay in touch and let us know how you're feeling. Of course we want to hear your lab report on the viral load when you get it. The SVR's have been coming from so many William, I'm hoping you'll be the next!! Take care and be well....

for last 18 months have had very little red meat.during tx and post tx have been on a fish and fruit diet with plenty of high fibre.when i started looking at diets i got a bit down.i loved roast lamb  steak etc. strange as it seems after going without red meats when i did try some it didnt do it for me.so am quite happy with my diet now.and eating little and often works well for me.had stomache probs on tx and post tx.but it has settled down a lot.have 6 month post eot in june.really hope its still virus undetected. still take thiamine and vit b each day.and vit c. it really helps me. still have lingering skin probs from the riba.that to is getting slowly better.am cirrottic so am not clearing the meds out as quick as some who have little liver damage. thanks to every one on this forum they is so much great info.best of health to you all.as they say health is wealth                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       william
