I meant to respond to the video you posted quite a while back and neglected to, 'til now.

Excellent find and wish more people (everywhere) could see it. It could only help.  Awareness and education is such a big part of this dilemma we find ourselves in, and the pool of negatively-affected people is SO huge worldwide with so few treated. At times the situ feels insurmountable!

You sometimes have to wonder horrid things ... like do they just plan to wait for us expensive problematic "older"ones to just die off, save a bit for the planning budget for the escalating up and coming?  Ahem - a system that has not worked out so well for anyone yet! Funny that, the magic of reverse compound interest.

I stumbled across a macabre study recently, (I am sure they were meaning well with their thinking, but, it all depends on how you are looking at it!) where they are already on to "counting", and salivating over how "nice it will be" to harvest the organs of those who have had HCV for transplant purposes (all sorts of transplants) despite the donor having had HCV (any ole organ will do theory?) - such a lovely large tantalizing pool of HCV people and potentially their organs for transplant you see (any kidney or cornea in a storm?) ... uh .. 'scuse me .. aren't we getting ahead of ourselves a wee bit here? Uh, how about concentrating on getting people treated first and fairly, maybe before the "potential" donor-to-be needs a liver transplant themselves? Maybe i just don't understand the practical "bigger picture" thinking, beyond knowing my blood is unwanted for donation at the moment.

Oh dear, I went to the dark side!!! Forgive me, back to the light - the video WAS most excellent!

It is important to look into the recent past and see how far treatment has advanced. In two years there are far better protocols in use and in development. The fact does remain that the warnings from these doctors should not go unheeded. 

Get tested and if you need to, get treated. Advocate for a cure! 

Watching this now! Thank you for posting it! I know the names of some of those Dr.s  ... They are the pioneers here in Toronto.

** Good documentary pointing out some cost facts that are clear to us but still ignored by the Health care systems. This was from 2014 so there have been leaps and bounds since this was produced and thank goodness progress is being made before it all hits the fan and it's still going to hit the fan... just when!
